Managing director Halvor Heiberg of Smart Sensor Systems was invited to Veidekke's concrete conference on 14 November, where he presented a newly developed casting pressure gauge that has been tested at the Hestnes tunnel at Espa in Innlandet for Veidekke.

- With our casting pressure gauges and brace pressure gauges, which connect to our iBridge smart sensor system, those working with concrete casting can monitor the pressure throughout the process. Our measurements provide a more precise and predictable casting process, which at the same time ensures high quality, explains Heiberg.

Today's hydraulic measuring instruments are often cumbersome and require manual follow-up, but the Smart Sensor Systems solution enables simple, continuous monitoring via mobile or tablet in a user-friendly interface.

The sensors are placed at the bottom, middle and top of the formwork, and measure pressure up to 600 kN/m². The measurements are available in real time on mobile and tablet. During the project, these values were compared with traditional measuring instruments, which showed identical results.

- We are very satisfied with the project and happy that our products can simplify the work and improve the accuracy of the casting process, says Heiberg.
